8 TV Shows I'm Currently Crazy About

This week has totally been a hectic one and I have not been able to tinker around the blogosphere for days. But alas here I am again, now armed with a list to share to you guys my favorite TV shows as of the moment.

I have been fond of watching series since I started the Pretty Little Liars and Game of Thrones show back in 2012. After catching up with those two at that time, I started finding new shows to binge-watch. Now, I have a couple of shows (more like dozens) I am keeping up with. YES, that's how hooked up I get when I really love them.

Here's a list of the top eight shows I'm currently crazed about:

George R.R. Martin's best-selling book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" is brought to the screen as HBO sinks its considerable storytelling teeth into the medieval fantasy epic. It's the depiction of two powerful families -- kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and honest men -- playing a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and to sit atop the Iron Throne.

Okay, so GoT. I've been hooked with this series since 2012 and now that it's on to season 6, I'm still one of those people who just can't get enough of blood and gore and sometimes, a little bit of nude from the Queen of Dragons. This show is pure genius.

"Once Upon a Time" tells the story of a new world, one in which fairy-tale legends and modern life collide. Emma Swan is comfortable in her life as a bail bonds collector when Henry -- the child she gave up a decade earlier -- suddenly shows up. He is convinced that she is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, who sent her away before the Evil Queen could cast a spell, freezing the fairytale world in time and bringing them to present-day Storybrooke, Maine. After taking Henry home, Emma decides to stay in the town to keep an eye on him, and she discovers he may not be wrong after all.

I'm a huge fan of fairy tales and this show went crazy on mixing all the characters up just had me. I cannot say no to this modern brewed fantasy.

Tabloid princess Kim Kardashian and her colorful blended family, led by matriarch Kris Jenner, are the subjects of this reality series that chronicles their often-chaotic domestic life together. Although the family members frequently are at odds, especially Kim and sisters Kourtney and Khloé, they always support one another in the end, regardless of how many controversies -- and there are many -- the family experiences as their fame grows. The sisters' business venture, the DASH clothing store chain, becomes part of the family's drama as that enterprise expands over time.

I just started this show late last month and I'm on to season 5 now. I am just hooked. I don't know why I liked this show so much, I just do! This show makes me laugh at times and it made me realize that nobody is really perfect (even though Kim has that killer bod).

Exactly two decades after Wallace University was rocked by a mysterious death, another murder takes place -- and all hell breaks loose. As the investigation progresses, casualties start to pile up and anyone could be the next victim -- or the villain. This modern take on a classic whodunit, a blend of comedy, horror and mystery, features a killer cast, including horror-genre veteran Jamie Lee Curtis as Dean Cathy Munsch, who demands that sorority pledging must be open to all students, not just the wealthy and elite. Her decree does not go over well with Chanel Oberlin, who rules the most popular sorority, Kappa House.

This is a sorority movie gone mad...and it just cracks me up everytime! I mean, at first it scared the crap out of me but then the scary scenes weren't so scary anymore and they just make me laugh. I loved Emma Roberts since her Wild Child days and seeing her again in this stupid (but in a good way) show is very satisfying, haha!

This take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic character has Sherlock Holmes fleeing London for present-day Manhattan after a stint in rehab. He arrives to find that his father has assigned a sober companion to live with him -- Dr. Joan Watson, a former surgeon who gave up medicine three years earlier after she lost a patient. Her life now centers around helping addicts stay clean. However, Holmes has his own plan for keeping on the straight and narrow, throwing himself into his work as a police consultant in New York City. The two find that they make a good team and are soon cracking some of the NYPD's most-difficult cases.

Now, I love Sherlock (the one with Benedict Cumberbatch) but that show's just 3 episodes for a season and the next episode for season 4 won't be out until next year! WHY DO THEY TORTURE US??? So I decided to give this other version a try and I find it okay, a little bit hilarious too because the actor playing Sherlock Holmes here reminds me a lot of Moriarty. I'm still on season 2 and I'm in no hurry to finish this one.

When Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt receives a visit from his sick aunt, he gets an explanation for some strange events in his life. She informs him that he is descended from a long ancestry of "Grimms," not just chroniclers of fairy tales but hunters charged with protecting humanity from supernatural creatures. Soon Nick discovers that he can see the creatures, "wesen," who look merely human to most people, and he must bear the responsibility of his ancestors and deal with the mythology of the Brothers Grimm. As Burkhardt tries to cope with the newfound dangers of his life without alarming his fiancee and his partner, he becomes more knowledgeable about the ancient rivalry -- with help from a peaceable clockmaker.

As I've said, I'm a sucker for fairy tales so... ðŸ˜„

Mensa-fied best friends and roommates Leonard and Sheldon, physicists who work at the California Institute of Technology, may be able to tell everybody more than they want to know about quantum physics, but getting through most basic social situations, especially ones involving women, totally baffles them. How lucky, then, that babe-alicious waitress/aspiring actress Penny moves in next door. Frequently seen hanging out with Leonard and Sheldon are friends and fellow Caltech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali. Will worlds collide? Does Einstein theorize in the woods?

I love a good sitcom. I've watch HIMYM and TBIA23 years ago. A friend of mine recommended me this series last year and since then, I've been hooked. I LOVE SHELDON. There, I said it. Haha!

Street-wise Max (Kat Dennings) doesn't expect much from the new waitress at her night job, a rich girl who has reluctantly joined the food service industry after a string of bad luck. But to her surprise, Caroline (Beth Behrs) is a woman of substance and just may be her ticket to success. The two strike up an unlikely friendship after Caroline discovers that Max can bake a mean cupcake, and the women decide if they can just wrangle up the start-up cash, they may have found their big break. Their co-workers at the diner are boss Han Lee, cook Oleg and cashier Earl.

And lastly, this series (which is another sitcom). I love Max, she's hilarious and witty without even knowing it. I don't know why I've overlooked this one until late 2014. I think I was busy fangirling with HIMYM. Well, better late than never!

And that ends my list! ðŸ˜„ These aren't the only shows I'm watching though, but these are my top 8. I'm still waiting for the next season of How To Get Away With Murder and Pretty Little Liars. Perhaps you would ask me why I'm still watching PLL given that the story is already exaggerated and prolonged for more than 3 seasons already...but oh well, it's PLL. I love Spencer and Aria and Hannah and Emily, and I cannot miss what happens next on this twisted story by Marlene King *squeals*.

What are your fave shows or movies at the moment? Do you like any of the shows I've enumerated above? Are you a couch potato too? Let's talk about it! ðŸ˜ƒ

    1. While a lot of people flock over to watch GoT, some doesn't really dig it. It's not for everyone and if you have already seen 3 episodes and still don't find it great, I think this show is not for you. Though you can watch 2 more episodes to be sure, hehe. Thanks for dropping by!

    1. Start the Kardashians only if you have a lot of free time because I'm telling you, it is addictive! I don't know why their family is so interesting to me, it just is and sometimes I find myself wishing to be Kris Jenner's daughter, haha! What other series are you watching?
