My Skincare Essentials when Traveling

Whenever I travel, I always make sure I have my favorite skincare products at the moment with me. It's been 2 years since I've become very into skincare. And in this 2-year journey, I have grown a habit of sitting down and taking care of my face twice daily (morning & night). I have discovered these wonderful products that work really well with my skin that I never go on trips without having them in my arsenal. And so I decided to share my skincare travel essentials with you today.
Travel Essentials: Skincare Edition
My routine is composed of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. These are the steps that are non-negotiable. I must do them to keep my sanity. 😅 Anything else other than these are products that I included in my routine to address the skin problem that I currently have.

These are the products that are shown in the photo above from left to right, up to down.

Royal Skin 24k Gold Snail Gel

This is a light moisturizer which I use mostly in the morning. It is very soothing that it also works well as an after sun care so it's perfect to bring with you on beach trips! My boyfriend loved this one after our Kalanggaman trip as he got really bad sunburn. I bought this one at Althea, thinking of trying a new gel moisturizer other than the trusted Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel.

Garnier Pure Active Skin Energizing Foam Cleanser

This is already my second tube and I only use this at night because, in the morning, I only use water to wash my face. I like this cleanser, it's gentle, it foams up well, and it tames my breakouts. It has a pleasant smell and it does not make my skin tight after rinsing. It also contains salicylic acid which is an ingredient that's good for acne-prone skin.

Solstice Age Defense Sunscreen

I religiously apply sunscreen on my face every single morning as my last step. Whether I go out or stay at home, I do not skip this one. This is a new brand I've been using for almost a month now, and while I still prefer my favorite Biore UV Perfect Bright Milk, this product is not bad. It's a moisturizing sunscreen and it also is good enough as a primer before you apply makeup. It does not feel heavy or greasy, and it doesn't leave a white cast which is what I look for in sunscreens. 👍

Body Treats Ocean Blue Body Spray

This isn't really a skincare product. It's a cologne I randomly purchased at Watsons and I just included it in the photo because it was in my skincare bag, hehe.

Bare Essentials Primer Water

This is my current toner and I've written a post about it here. I love it because it has an essence-like consistency so it's very hydrating. 👌 I've already used up three-quarters of the product and it won't be long now until I'd need to buy a new one.

Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid

This is the chemical exfoliator that I love so much. I never really believed its hype until I've tried it myself. It exfoliates the dead skin cells on the surface of my face and makes my skin's texture smooth and even, it also lessens and tames my breakouts. I highly recommend this product for those whose skin are acne-prone.
Skincare Products I use while traveling

Etude House Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream

This ladies and gentlemen is my holy grail moisturizer. It is designed for sensitive skin types and does a really good job at repairing my skin's barrier 💯. I've raved about this product in my previous post saying it single-handedly cured and strengthened my skin barrier and was the reason why my acne was lessened! And until today, I stand by that statement. Although lately I only apply this one when I feel like my skin is stressed and irritated, it is still a product I will go back to time and time again.  👌

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

This is the serum that I am currently using. I've heard about this product being raved early last year and I have always been curious about its effectivity. My main concern right now is to fade my acne scars and brighten up my face. So I finally decided to try this one because it claims to address the skin problems I have. It has niacinamide as one of its star ingredients and niacinamide helps brighten up the skin while giving it moisture.

Skin Genie Tamanu Oil

This is a new oil I'm using to fade acne scars. I've bought it from BeautyMNL sometime last month after reading its reviews. I use this one at the end of my routine every night and, I know this is not that believable, but after just roughly a month of applying this, I've seen a noticeable change. My scars aren't that prominent anymore and they really seem to lighten up! I know that this isn't just the oil's work but it really helped.

Caring for my skin has become a natural part of my daily routine. It has become a habit and one of the things I look forward to doing every day. Some people don't understand why I go through a meticulous routine every day but skincare has become something I couldn't skip. It's an act of self-love and I very much enjoy doing the ritual I've created.

Traveling creates stress on your skin due to a list of things like change in surrounding, exposure to more sun and pollution, and also lack of rest. I couldn't risk letting my skin experience that change and so I pack up my skincare essentials with me wherever I go.

When you go traveling, do you also have your essentials with you? Care to share them? I'd love to know what your skincare favorites are when you travel. My comment box is open for your thoughts!

Until next time,
