August Wrap Up

Renee's August Wrap Up

August has finally come to an end...again. How did time fly by so fast? One moment it was still the beginning of 2016 and now, half of it has already gone by. What did I do for the last 8 months??? I'm still not ready for 2016 to end, I have a long list of goals I need to finish yet! I guess I have to work twice as hard now to achieve them before 2017 comes. Oh, Renee... But alas, time is still running, and I still have to do my best every day to make the most of it. For now, I will try to wrap up my month in one post (duhh).

Books read by Renee on August 2016

BOOKS READ:

1. Confess by Colleen Hoover
2. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
3. The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events book 1) by Lemony Snicket
4. The Reptile Room (A Series of Unfortunate Events book 2) by Lemony Snicket

I have only read four books for this month. I know, I know...I was in a reading slump but at least I finished 4, right? Although The Bad Beginning and The Reptile Room were re-reads, they still count, don't they? :D ACOMAF is my fave read this month. Words aren't enough to describe how amazing this book is. Sarah J. Maas is a genius!

MOVIES & TV SERIES WORTH MENTIONING:

  1. The Wedding Ringer
  2. Thor: The Dark World
  3. Descendants of the Sun
  4. Doctors

I've already seen DoTS last May (I think... I forgot, haha) and I loved it so much. So last week, I decided to watch it all over again! The feels were still there and I still cried during episode 6. I still gushed about Song Joong Ki *fangirl screaming*. Ahh, this Korean Drama is definitely included in my top 5 favorite KDramas! Haha! ❤️

FAVORITE BUYS:

Renee's mini National Bookstore book haul
Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5s
Beauty products from Watsons and EOS
Anytime Menstrual Cup

  2. Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5
  3. Anytime Menstrual Cup
  4. Watsons Face Masks
  5. Books!

I've been a bit of a spender this month and well, yeah.

I needed wanted a phone with a larger RAM and ROM so I opted for this Zenfone. It's features and price range are perfect for me so I gave my LG phone to my mom and bought this one. I've also been addicted to face masks lately and my favorite by far is the pink sunflower (something) from Watsons and the Charcoal Black Detox Mask by Pretty Mask, also from Watsons (not pictured though). And then, after months of thinking about buying my own menstrual cup, I finally gave in when Alissa of The Wallflower Secrets posted her review about it on her blog. I will be blogging about my experience on this one so stay tuned. ;) Lastly, my mini book haul from National Bookstore. I just couldn't resist buying it when I visited last Monday. I bought The Girl who could Fly and The Boy who knew Everything by Victoria Forester and Color me Creative by Kristina Webb. I am a fan of her artworks and have been a follower of her Instagram since 2013. This girl has incredible talent in arts!

FAVORITE MEMORY:
Chocolate Chip Cookies by SoLesNeaZo
My favorite memory for this month would probably be the 12 hours I spent with my best girlfriends. We had lunch together, played bowling, bought groceries for our baking session, had dinner together, baked chocolate chip cookies, went out for karaoke, watched Shallows, talked and laughed together, and just basically had fun. It was a long, tiring day but so worth it. We even did a before and after photo. Oh, the good times we had in our college days. I can't thank the Lord enough for giving me these wonderful friends. ❤️

  5. Renee's Reading Habits

So I guess I should end this post here. I am overwhelmed by all that has happened this month. I have so much more in store for this blog and I hope you guys will still be there to read it. I have a couple of blog posts already on my drafts and then there are others on my blog journal and AH, there's so many. I wish I have all the time in the world to just blog. But still, I will find time to do them, I always have. ;) I just have to do things one at a time. Ciao, for now, guys!
