The Happy List Vol. 03

Renee's Happy List for January 2017

January had started really good for me. It's the beginning of another year, a continuation of the life I've been living for 23 years now, and there's a whole new adventure that awaits as we bade 2016 goodbye. I cannot stop thanking the Lord for all the blessings that He has given me so far. I have come to love the life I've been leading and even if I still have some things I would like to have, I know that what I have now is more than enough. I would still be working hard to reach my dreams but as of now, I decided to take things one at a time.

For this post, I wanted to share my happy list this month with you all. These are just some the things that made me happy and excited. So yeah, here goes...

The things that made me really happy

  • Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo ❤

It's no secret that I LOVED this Korean Mini-Series because if you have been following me on Twitter, it's all that I could talk about for the past couple of days. I started watching it last week when I was waiting for the next episodes of Goblin and Legend of the Blue Sea. Since the series was concluded on the 11th, I decided to binge-watch the show as it was highly-raved by the people I'm following on various social media. The memes and video clips were unending so my curiosity was piqued. I stayed up late for 3 nights, sacrificing sleep because it was just so good! It's a feel-good series that got my heart fluttering in every scene. I love the cast and characters, I love the wholesomeness of the show, I love their dialogues and plot, I love everything about it! The natural chemistry between Kim Bok Joo and Jeong Joon Hyung just makes my heart giddy with kilig! When I came to its final episode, it was like my heart was on its happiest! The ending was perfect but I really wanted more. IT WAS THAT GOOD. Until now, I can't seem to move on from all the feelings this show has given me, that at night, I still watch my favorite scenes over and over again. I highly recommend this show to everybody who are looking for something to watch!

  • Goblin: The Lonely and Great God

Oh, where do I start with this series? *sighs*... Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook. A fantasy, heavy drama. With epic cinematography. And lit AF soundtracks. This series couldn't get any better than that.

I started watching this drama at the beginning of the year when I was traveling home from Zamboanga City. A friend recommended this one after I gushed about W - Two Worlds. After watching 3 episodes, I was hooked. It was like the Goblin love spelled me. I cannot explain it, Goblin is just so amazing in so many ways. At first, though, I was weirded out by it, but after a while of watching, I realized that I am head-over-heels in love with it. I even listen to its OST on a daily basis now. I am that crazy about it, haha!

  • Legend of the Blue Sea

Last on the Korean Drama list is this mermaid tale starring Lee Min-Ho and Jun Ji-Hyun. I wasn't really planning to watch this until after the series is complete, BUT it's a mermaid tale. AND Lee Min Ho is in it. I MUST WATCH IT, at all cost. And so I watch it. It's not as great as Goblin, but it has its own unique charm that I've grown to love over time.

  • Hey It's Feiii videos on Youtube

I've been watching a lot of youtube videos lately and right now, my most watched youtube channel is heyitsfeiii's. There's something about her that I really like - it may be her cute, quirky ways that make me enjoy her videos. I always try to keep up to date with her uploads and so far, I find them all to my liking. Visit her channel sometime! 😊

  • Developing a skin care routine

On my previous post, I mentioned that I wanted to start a Korean Skin Care Routine. After much research and some trial and errors, I think I've finally come up with my own routine. I am still gathering up some products that would work and would be compatible with my skin but I have a solid routine now that I am doing every day. I might post about it some other time, but not soon. 😉

  • Celebrating 3 years of being together

Today marks the three-year anniversary of my relationship with Jethro. I can't believe it's been three years since we agreed to date exclusively. Oh, how time flies by... If you are reading this, happy anniversary, Babe! I love you and I miss you. I will see you soon!!! ❤😊

  • The thought of finally leaving something behind

If you have been a reader of this blog, you'd know how much I struggled with my thoughts and feelings about my work and career in the past year. I've been thinking and contemplating about what I should do about it for quite some time now and it has been a struggle as it was the reason why I got anxiety and panic attacks. A light was finally shown in my way and with it, I came upon a decision to leave this job for good. Exactly 10 more days to go till I'm free. I am so excited to get on with the next phase of this adult life!

So, I think these would be all. I know most of them are Korean Dramas, but I can't help it. I am slowly being eaten by them. I am always excited to go home every day after work because that means I can get to watch another episode! It's all I can talk about, I even got my co-workers to watch Goblin and WFKBJ, haha! If you want to watch them, you can go to kissasian.com. 😁

Life has been good so far. I hope this will continue on. 😊 How are you all? What things have been making you happy so far? I hope you are having a great month. Let's all make this year our year!

Till my next post, lovelies!
