Last March 26, a gang of 2 girls and 2 boys decided to trek up to the highest peak of Iligan City - the Mountain of Agad-Agad. We were all eager to reach the peak before noon so we started our day early. KC and I left the house at 7 in the morning, and we met up with our two companions along the way. We started the long walk to the mountain by 7:45 and reached the peak by 10. It was a long and exhausting trek as I wasn't equipped with enough leg muscle for the hike but I survived! Haha! The feeling as we can finally see the top was amazing. It was truly an experience worth remembering.
Mount Agad Agad is located in Brgy. Pugaan, Iligan City, just minutes away from the city proper. It has an estimated height of 1600 feet (490 meters) above sea level. For an average hiker, the peak can be reached in just 2-3 hours, so it's not really an impossible feat for beginners like me.
The view at the top was breath-taking. You can see the whole of Iligan City and you'd realize how small anything can be if just viewed from somewhere else. I definitely loved the cool breeze and the serenity the mountain peak offered.
I have always wanted to climb this mountain since I first lived in Iligan way back 2009, so it was about time I made that wish come true.
The sweat and body ache after the climb was all worth it in the end. ❤ I hope to climb this mountain again soon (plus it's a really good exercise)! 😁
Have you ever climbed a mountain? What was your experience like? Do you like to go on an adventure like this one? Let's talk! 😊
