As a home-based freelancer, I have always wished for a place in my city where I can work without having to spend so much. Coffee and tea shops here are just way too expensive for me and the internet isn't fast enough so working in these places is not an option. I was cooped up inside our home and I longed for a change. So when a close friend announced that she and her friends are putting up this business, I was one of the many who was very excited about its opening.
I was so thankful to be invited to their store blessing and got to be one of the first few people to see and experience Librew. The interior feels very cozy and very suitable for students and digital nomads alike. It's very minimal and the neutral colors stimulate our thinking cells making it the perfect place for studying.
At first, though, the dark green paint of Librew's exterior surprised me. It took some time to get used to it but eventually, it grows in you to like it. And somehow, looking at it reminds me of Harry Potter. ðŸ’
How it looks outside |
I have heard of coffices and co-working spaces from the people I follow on Instagram and I really wanted to try cofficing, too. It's nice to finally get to experience working outside. The change of scenery made me feel like I'm a legit freelancer (LOL). And I'm not exaggerating this but it also made me more productive. I wouldn't want to waste the money I spent in these establishments so I really make the most out of the time I spend working in them.
Their rates and menu |
Their rates are also very student friendly which starts at PHP25 for the first hour and PHP20 for the succeeding hours.
Cubicles you can use, every cubicle has its own socket and light |
Librew's second floor consists of tables where you can study in groups |
If you don't want to work in the cubicles, there are high chairs available, too. |
They also have a growing bookshelf and I think you can donate your unused books here :) |
Librew opened its doors to the public last week on November 3. Business hours is between 9 AM to 9 PM. You can book your reservations ahead of time so you can be sure that you have a slot when you come by this establishment. You don't have to worry about their staff because they are approachable and very friendly. 😉
