The Happy List Vol. 06

The Happy List Vol. 06
Hi everyone! How are you all? I'm fine and still alive, as you can see. 😄 I missed writing here and sharing pieces of my life. I guess I owe you a life lately post and I will make that soon. For this post, I would like to share with you the things that have made me really happy and so thankful for the month of January 2018. 😊

  • Celebrating the New Year and my birthday with my family and Jethro

I celebrate my birthday every 1st of January and not many people can come to celebrate it with me on this day because they are celebrating the new year with their family, too. So most of the time, it's just me and my family celebrating my birthday every year. This year, though, it was special because, after 2 years, Jethro was able to come home for the new year and come to our house to celebrate my birthday with me. Our celebration wasn't grand, it was really simple and intimate. But what I love so much about it is the happiness and contentment I felt that day. I was really happy because I have the closest people I love with me as I turned another year older.

  • Playing Monopoly with my siblings

I have been a fan of Monopoly since I was 20 years old. When Jethro and I saw a monopoly board game on sale at the mall, we immediately bought it. When Jethro came to our house on my birthday, I told him to bring the monopoly board game with him so that we can play it together with my siblings. We had soooo much fun that day. And guess who was always the business tycoon? ME! 😁 (and this isn't just because it was my birthday, haha!)

  • Well-spent days with Jethro

On the second week of January, I was able to spend the weekend in Cagayan de Oro City with Jethro and his family. We did nothing but eat out, shop, and chill. I had quality time with him, as well as his family. It was really fun and they definitely made me feel like I'm part of theirs. I'm glad that I get along with his mom and dad and siblings well. ❤️

  • Friends who make me laugh when I'm feeling down

There came a moment last month when my anxiety came back. I was feeling a lot of unwanted emotions and I am just thankful that I have the best set of friends who are always reliable to cheer me up whenever I'm feeling down. I cannot thank God enough for letting me meet them and have them in my life. ❤️

  • Getting to experience Sinulog for the first time

I went to Cebu last month to experience Sinulog Festival for the first time and I had a great time! I went with my best friends and it was just a really good experience. I also got to see the Sirao Flower Farm and went to different food places. Although there were mishaps, I took it to myself to go next year so I can experience the festival more. But overall, I really had a wonderful time in Cebu. I'm just thankful that this trip happened in general. 😊

Things to be grateful for

  • The cloudy weather during Sinulog

The weather during the Sinulog festival was great. It was not very hot, neither was it very rainy. It was cloudy but not too cloudy that there will be heavy rain. It was just the right amount of clouds covering the sun's harsh rays so that we can enjoy the daytime much more without having to worry about heat stroke!  The weather was just perfect.

  • For having everything fall into place and getting hired in a government office

It was also in January that I received a call from my friend's mom asking me if I would like to work at a government office. I said yes immediately thinking that it would be a great addition to my resume. Not long after the said call, I completed the requirements for the job and I was immediately said to report to the office to start working. The hiring process was smooth-sailing and I just could tell that it was for me. I was kind of flabbergasted at first, though, because it was an immediate adjustment from just being an online freelancer without fixed work schedule into a full-time 8 to 5 office lady. Everything was new to me again but it was a wonderful transition as I got to work with friends. Everything just fell into place and now, I am employed again. ❤

  • Got to know Steemit and having my first cashout from it!

I got to know Steemit in December and upon learning how it works little by little, I got the hang of it and began enjoying it more than blogging on this website. And that is precisely why I'm not as active in this blog as before. Steemit is a wonderful social media platform and the unique thing about it is that you can earn money from the writeups that you post in it. The best thing that happened to me last month was that I was able to cash out my steemit earnings for the first time! I was just over the moon. To read more about steemit, you can go to this link to have more idea on why I am really liking it >> Amazing adjustments that have happened in my life since I found steemit | A Blogger's Dream Come True.

January has been a really, really good month for me and I hope that the next months will be just as good. I am excited at the new prospects I will be facing. I am excited to get to know more about my new job. I am excited to do and grow more on steemit. I am just so excited for my life this year because, for once, everything has just fallen right into its perfect place. And I hope it will be just like that, always. 😊
