After devouring seven books last June, I was in a complete reading slump in July and August. Now that September is here, I need to haul ass and continue reading so I can complete my Goodreads Reading Challenge. Here are some books that I want to read before the year ends.
Aru Shah and the End of Time
One day, three schoolmates show up at Aru's doorstep to catch her in a lie. They don't believe her claim that the museum's Lamp of Bharata is cursed, and they dare Aru to prove it. Just a quick light, Aru thinks. Then she can get herself out of this mess and never ever fib again.
But lighting the lamp has dire consequences. She unwittingly frees the Sleeper, an ancient demon whose duty it is to awaken the God of Destruction. Her classmates and beloved mother are frozen in time, and it's up to Aru to save them.
The only way to stop the demon is to find the reincarnations of the five legendary Pandava brothers, protagonists of the Hindu epic poem, the Mahabharata, and journey through the Kingdom of Death. But how is one girl in Spider-Man pajamas supposed to do all that?
I've been into young adult fantasy for years now and after re-reading the Percy Jackson series last June, I have become fascinated about other myths as well. I think this book will be able to satisfy my thirst, and I've heard good things about it so I can't wait to start it!

I am a sucker for anything mermaid. I've saved this book in my kindle for some time now and I really want to read this one before the year ends. I don't know what to expect because I didn't do much research on this book. I wanna be surprised. I hope this is a good one.

I'm also planning to read book 4 of TMI. Hopefully, my box will arrive no later than November so that I will be reunited with my books. I've had some of my things shipped from the UAE because they were super heavy to bring with me in my luggage. LBC, don't fail me.

I am a big fan of Sarah J. Maas and I've read practically every one of her books. So, of course, this new series of hers is on my TBR list! I've heard so many good things about it from the fandom, and I am excited to read it! I have high expectations so I hope I won't be disappointed. But with my past experience with SJMaas books, I know I won't be. 😁
