My Year in Books | 2020 Wrap Up Part 2

Aside from 2020 being a great Asian Drama Watching Year for me, it has been a great reading year as well.  As of writing this, I have read a total of 52 books this year, 12 books more from my original 40-book goal! Well, ain't that swell? Being quarantined for the most part of the year turned my attention to books, books, and more books. Add up the fact that I've also started doing BookTube content and boom, my reading self has never been hyped up than ever.

I gave a lot of 5 stars this year because there were so many books that I have truly enjoyed reading. Although this year also introduced me to 2 of the worst books I've read in my whole life, I'm not going to spread hate here, I just want to say that this is my opinion. You could like these books, I don't have a problem with that.

Overall, glancing through these titles brought me back to how I felt when I turned to their last pages. I've always enjoyed reading, and this year, books have accompanied me and allowed me to escape reality. I've read a lot of fantasy this year because I literally wanted to escape this shithole we're living in right now. And these wonderful fantasy worlds that the authors have created were the escape I needed to tame my sanity when panic and anxiety got a hold of me in the middle of this year.

I think I talked about my thoughts about these books on my Goodreads account so you can follow me there to be updated with my book reviews. I've posted a couple book reviews here on my blog as well but I only did it with the books that I really enjoyed and have a lot of thoughts about. Gonna link them here if you want to see them:

I originally wanted to make a BookTube video about my 2020 reading wrap up but I just couldn't find the time to film it. I guess I'm first and foremost a blogger than a vlogger. 😅

It's been a great reading year and I hope next year, I'm going to read more! I'm aiming for 50 books for 2021 and I hope I will pass it with flying colors like I did with this year's reading challenge.

Thanks for reading my blog today, dear reader. The final part of this wrap up will be up tomorrow! xx
