Life Lately: May & June

Life Lately: May & June | Renee Alexis

Hello, how's life? I actually miss this space so much that even though I don't have any idea what to post, here I am opening a blank page and just outright start typing words just to make an update on here. I even had to look up my last life lately post because I seem to have forgotten how I used to make these things. lol.

Anyway, I thought of writing an update just to look back at what the last two months of my life looked like.

--------------------------------

May was both hectic and life-changing. I got a new job and had to undergo an onboarding process that lasted up to 2 weeks. I said life-changing because it's a full-time job that requires 8 hours of my time 5 days a week. My lifestyle changed since and I have been adjusting to it in the past 2 months.

I decided to accept this job because the benefits are good and it would allow me to save up more. I still have my old job on the side though because I'm too attached to it to let go of it. And I admit that part of why this month had been hectic was because I was having a hard time juggling both.

This new job has a different vibe than what I'm used to but it's a welcome change and there are perks that come along with it. I would say that even though I have less free time than when I was just freelancing, it's something that I have to give in so that I could gain more.

June was good. BTS had a comeback and it pretty much kept me occupied along with work. I even got to unwind a little bit after having such hectic weeks before. I had a haircut and I got to hang out with my best friend.

Maybe the only downside of the past 2 months was that I wasn't able to read as many books as I intended to. BUT I read a lot of fanfictions. Ever since I fell down the fanfic rabbit hole last year, I never really got to get out from that hole. And so until today, I am reading fanfics. 😂

A day in Iligan City | Renee Alexis

So, yeah. I guess that's it? I mean, July is already halfway through and I've been having urges to just fly out and go somewhere just to unwind. I've been looking at flight tickets and hotels where I can just go and relax. I hope one of these days I could push through with these plans. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. xx
